It took success, a pandemic, and a breakdown for Jarek Tadla to find his voice.
By trade, Jarek Tadla, 52, is a high profile residential and commercial real estate investor with over three decades of experience in owning, managing, and improving real property. His journey is an impressive one; immigrating from Poland at a young age and building a massive real estate portfolio through odd jobs, a strong work ethic, and a burning desire for the so-called “American Dream.”
From the outside, it looked like Jarek Tadla had it all. But there was something missing, inner peace and happiness. And an ongoing bout with severe depression led Tadla to pursue a new career chapter: mental health and awareness advocate. Flash to the present and Tadla is the subject of an upcoming documentary from Tommy G, the YouTube content creator, personality, and rapper who is best known for his self-titled channel.
“It is my job to profile some of the most interesting people, groups and subcultures in the country, and Jarek Tadla and I got on each other’s radar,” said Tommy McGee, known on the video platform as ‘Tommy G,’ who identifies himself as a filmmaker in search of the society we do not get to see close-up.
Initially working in sales while posting YouTube prank videos on the side, Tommy G’s documentary in 2022 on the Kia Boys (A Story of Teenage Car Theft) put him on the map in the YouTube space.
“I don’t often talk to people who are so traditionally successful as Jarek. Normally, I focus on people who do crazy and outrageous things,” said Tommy G. “But now I am beginning to document people that are doing very well so we can also show the successful side of life.”
